New or Prospective Nursery Families
Welcome to Woodley Primary School! We are thrilled to have you and your child join our school community. At Woodley, we believe in fostering a nurturing and collaborative environment where every child can thrive.
Our Nursery is designed to provide children with foundational knowledge and understanding that will prepare them for Reception and beyond. Through a carefully planned curriculum, we offer opportunities for children to develop new skills, explore their curiosity, and learn through play.
To ensure a smooth transition into Nursery, we offer various taster sessions and individual meetings, allowing your child to become familiar with the environment and staff. These sessions are also an excellent opportunity for parents and carers to ask questions and share any specific needs or concerns.
We provide flexible nursery sessions to accommodate your needs. Options include:
- Monday to Friday (mornings or afternoons)
- Monday to Wednesday (half-week)
- Wednesday to Friday (half-week)
- Full-time
- A more bespoke pattern can also be discussed
Please let us know your preferred schedule, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Eligible families can access funding for 15 or 30 hours of childcare per week. If you qualify for the 30 hours, please provide your eligibility code. Additional payable sessions are available for those who require more hours beyond the funded entitlement. This is at a rate of £15.50 per half day (2024-2025).

Some parents / carers may be eligible to receive an additional 15 hours as an extended entitlement, in addition to the universal entitlement (making 30 hours childcare funding in total). Parents and carers who wish to apply for these sessions, should refer to government guidance in relation to eligibility and the process to access the additional hours.
