FIND OUT MORE ABOUT OUR
School Governors
We are delighted to introduce you to the dedicated team of governors at Woodley Primary School. Our governors play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of the school and ensuring the highest standards of education for our children.
The School’s Governing Body is made up of:
- One LA governor
- One Staff governor
- One Headteacher
- Two Parent governors
- Seven Co-opted governors
All Governors have full voting rights on their Committee and at the Full Governing Body. For Stockport Governor Remits & Responsibilities, Click Here.
The full governing board meets twice per term to discuss and make decisions on key aspects of strategic school leadership. One meeting focuses on teaching and learning, where we evaluate and enhance our educational practices to ensure all children achieve their full potential. The other meeting concentrates on resources, overseeing the effective allocation of financial, physical, and human resources to support our school’s goals.
In addition to these meetings, we have a Headteacher Performance Management Committee dedicated to supporting and reviewing the performance of the headteacher, ensuring strong leadership and continuous improvement. We also have a Teacher Pay Committee responsible for assessing and approving staff remuneration in line with school policies.
